Violence Online Festival is initiated, created, organized and curated by Agricola de Cologne on occasion of "Violens Festival 2002" Tábor (Czech Republic 17 - 31 August 2002) as an independant cultural event and  realized in the framework of NewMediaArtProjectNetwork by A Virtual Memorial and cooperating institutions or organsations.

Violence Online Festival has been installed meanwhile as an dynamic ongoing project to be presented in physical and virtual festivals and exhibitions. For each event a new project version will be created including adjustments to the respective event, the inclusion of new artists and their works and the addition of new features.
