VideoChannel
started in 2004 as a corporate part and one of the “memory channels” of the global networking project [R][R][F]2004–>XP, and is entirely focussed on digital videos on the themes “memory & identity”.

Until 2006, 18 curators were preparing contributions of videos by artists from their home countries, and a unique collection of collective memory manifested in more than 200 videos is resulting from.

Since 2005,
VideoChannel is promoting its continuously increasing collection by compilations under specific themes online, as well as offline via screening on festival or in the framework of media art events.

In 2006,
VideoChannel initiated “CologneOFF – Cologne Online Film Festival”, a mobile film and video festival to be organised simultaneously online and offline.
